Manuel Martínez-Llorián
Born in Cuba, Llorián is a graduate of Montclair State College in New Jersey and is the recipient of numerous awards and recognitions. Llorián is the Vice President and General Manager of WNJU Telemundo 47. Martínez-Llorián has dedicated the past 20 years of his career to Telemundo. He came to WNJU from the Telemundo Network in Miami where he was Executive Vice President of Programming and Production since 1997. Llorián has been honored by various organizations, including the Cuban Day Parade of New York and the New Jersey Colombian Civic Center and Continental Newspaper group. A member of the Advisory Board for the Committee On Hispanic Children and Families and board member of Repertorio Español, Martínez-Llorián recently was cited in the Congressional record by Congressman Bob Menendez (D,NJ) and recognized for his achievements as a broadcaster and his contributions to the advancement of the Hispanic community.
Nacido en Cuba, Llorián se graduo+ACENTO de Montclair State College de Nueva Jersey y es recipiente de numerosos premios y reconocimientos. Jorge David Magaña Molina
Born in Mexico City on February 12, 1976. He obtained a B.A. in Communications (Journalism) from the Political and Social Science Department of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (95-98). He received an Honorary Mention for his professional exam and thesis: The Mexican Short Film Today (Mexican Film Institute 1990-1997). He has collaborated on and edited several sections and/or articles in various journals -especially dealing with show business, culture and film. He was assistant to the
Department of International Markets of the Office of Film Distribution at IMCINE, Feb. 2000 -Jul. 2001; and is Coordinator of International Festivals, under the Department of Promotion of Film Culture of IMCINE, since July 2001. He has curated several cycles of features and short subjects in various countries and has been a special guest and member of the jury at several festivals, and serves as editorial coordinator, researcher and proofreader for the annual Cinema Mexico catalogue, published by the Mexican Film Institute.
Nació en la Ciudad de México el 12 de Febrero de 1976. Licenciado en Ciencias de la Comunicación (Periodismo), en la Facultad de Ciencias Políticas y Sociales de la Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (95-98). Titulado con mención honorífica por su examen y Tesis profesional: El Cortometraje Mexicano en la Actualidad (Instituto Mexicano de Cinematografía 1990-1997). Colaborador Editorial y Editor de varias secciones -especialmente espectáculos, cultura y cine- en diversas revistas. Asistente del Departamento Mercados Internacionales de la Dirección de Distribución Cinematográfica del IMCINE, Feb 2000-Jul 2001. Coordinador de Festivales Internacionales, adscrita a la Subdirección de Promoción y eventos Internacionales, perteneciente a la Dirección de Promoción Cultural Cinematográfica del IMCINE. Desde Julio 2001. Curador de diversas muestras cinematográficas de largometraje y cortometraje en diversos países, Invitado especial y Jurado Internacional de largometraje y cortometraje en diversos festivales. Coordinador editorial, Investigador y Corrector de estilo del Catálogo Anual Cinema México, editado por el Instituto Mexicano de Cinematografía.

Sub-Director de Programación y Relaciones Internacionales de la Cinemateca Dominicana, una dependencia de la Secretaría de Estado de Cultura dedicada a la promoción del séptimo arte en la República Dominicana. Durante varios años ha sido miembro de la Muestra Internacional de Cine de Santo Domingo desarrollando la labor de Encargado de Programación. Es director de Arte7, institución dedicada a la difusión y exhibición cinematográfica, mediante la cual ha organizado importantes ciclos y eventos de cine para reconocidas instituciones culturales de su país, tales como el Centro Cultural de España y Casa de Teatro. Es colaborador en el área de Ocio de Clave Digital, principal medio de comunicación electrónico de su país y del periódico Artes.
Sub-director of programming and international relations of the Dominican CinematecKKKKK, a part of the Ministry of Culture dedicated to the promotion of the seventh art in the Dominican Republic. During various years he has been a member of Muestra Internacional de Cine de Santo Domingo in charge of programming. He is director of Arte7, an institution dedicated to the diffusion and exhibition of film, by means of which he has organized important film events for recognized cultural institutions of the Dominican Republic, such as Centro Cultural de España y Casa de Teatro. Mari Rodríguez Ichaso
Mari Rodríguez Ichaso, a Cuban-American author and producer, made her directorial debut with the documentary "Cuban Women Branded by Paradise" (Marcadas por el Paraíso). Her last documentary "Made in Cuba: Children of Paradise", which explores the social phenomena of growing up in a communist society, premiered on 2001, as part of the Miami International Film Festival. She was also the associate producer of "Bitter Sugar". From 1980 to the present she wrote a book "Recuerdos Compartidos", written for magazines and produced segments for various television programs for TNT Latin America. In 1996 she co-produced the critically acclaimed movie "Azucar Amarga" ("Bitter Sugar"), directed by Leon Ichaso.
Mari Rodriguez Ichaso, escritora y productora cubanoamericana, hizo su debut cinematografico con el documental "Mujeres cubanas Marcadas por el Paraíso". Su último documental "Hecho en Cuba: Niños del Paraíso", un film que explora los fenómenos sociales de crecer en una sociedad comunista, fue estrenado en 2001, en el Festival de Cine Internacional de Miami. Desde 1980 hasta la fecha, ha estado escribiendo su libro "Recuerdos Compartidos", escrito para revistas y segmentos producidos para varios programas televisivos, entre ellos, TNT Iberoamérica. En 1996 ella coprodujo la película críticamente aclamada "Azucar Amarga", dirigida por Leon Ichaso.

Goren received his B.A. in Latin American Studies and Spanish Language and Literature--with a focus on film--from Brandeis Univeristy. He also graduated the Journalism Progam there, and he spent a year studying literature and film at the Universidad de la Habana and la Fundación del Nuevo Cine Latinoamericano, both in Havana, Cuba. Jeremy Goren is the film-page editor at NYMosaico.com, a bilingual online publication. He recently served on the short-film selection committee and as a blog reporter for the Vail Film Festival. He has contributed articles to various English- and Spanish-language news sources, usually focusing on issues related to immigrants and immigration law. He also spent time as an interning reporter at WAMU 88.5FM, NPR's local member station in Washington, DC.
Goren estudio en Brandeis University donde se licencio en Estudios latinoamericanos y literatura latinoamericana y peninsular -con enfoque en cine. También se graduó del progama de periodismo en Brandeis, y pasó un año en la Habana, Cuba, como estudiante de literatura y cine en la Universidad de la Habana y La Fundación del Nuevo Cine Latinoamericano. Jeremy Goren es el director de la página de cine NYMosaico.com, una revista bilingue en el web. Reciéntemente fue parte del Vail Film Festival como miembro del comité que seleccionó los cortos y como periodista del blog official de la festival. También ha escrito articulos para varios periodicos en inglés y en español, enfocandose en los asuntos de los inmigrantes y las leyes de inmigración de los EEUU. Pasó un tiempo como reportero en WAMU 88.5 FM, el miembro local de NPR en Washington, D.C.

Posee un certificado de cine de la Universidad de Nueva York. Con más de quince años de experiencia en cine y teatro en Colombia, Venezuela y Nueva York, Bayona ha producido varios cortometrajes entre los que se cuentan, Bus Stop, The Bug Chaser, Isabella Rico, y trabajado en largometrajes como Violeta de mil colores y Sicario. En teatro ha dirigido 90 Miles of Separation para el Strawberry Theatre Festival del Manhattan Producers Club, producido Réquiem for a Life para el Lincoln Center, además de tener en su haber la producción de variadas piezas teatrales en Venezuela.
Actualmente aparte de preparar su primer largometraje como director, se desempeña como reportero independiente para diversas publicaciones en español como Hora Hispana del Daily News New York, El Mundo de Caracas, Venezuela, las revistas mensuales Viva NY del Daily News, y Artistas por la Vida en Caracas, donde está a cargo de la sección de cine internacional. Studied in the Film Certificate program at New York University. With more than fifteen years of experience in films and theater in Colombia, Venezuela and New York, Bayona has produced various short films such as Bus stop Sign, The Bug Chaser, Isabella Rich, and has worked in feature films such as Violeta de mil colores and Sicario. In theater he has directed 90 Miles of Separation for the Strawberry Theatre Festival of the Manhattan Producers Club, produced Réquiem for to Life for the Lincoln Center, besides having to his credit the production of various theatrical pieces in Venezuela. At present, aside from preparing his first feature film as director, he is an independent reporter for diverse publications in spanish , such as Hora Hispana of the Daily News New York, El Mundo of Caracas, Venezuela, the monthly magazines I Live NY of the Daily News,and Artistas por la Vida also in Caracas, where is in charge of the section of international movies. Michelle Guanca
Michelle Guanca is the Acquisitions Director at the Latin American Video Archives where she is responsible for evaluating and selecting new titles for distribution. In addition to handling acquisitions, she has worked with several filmmakers on the translation of their screenplays, including two of Fernando Birri's most important films, Los Inundados and Tire Dié, making them available for the first time to English-speaking audiences. In 2004, she served as a panelist at the Xican Indie Film Festival in Denver, Colorado. Ms. Guanca received her B.A. and M.A. in Latin American Studies from New York University where she concentrated her work on human rights and politics of the Southern Cone.

Frank Molina
Es un actor de múltiples talentos. Fue parte del exitoso equipo de gimnasia de Estados Unidos en las Olimpiadas de 1980. Al final cambió argollas y caballetes por latas de película y moviolas. Estudió en el prestigioso Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute de Nueva York, del que salió cuatro años después a trabajar en teatro y cine; son más de 30 proyectos en los que ha participado, incluidos El círculo vicioso de Delson Peña (1999), en donde no sólo es protagonista sino también productor y asistente de director; la película ganó el premio a mejor película en el Puerto Rican International Film Festival; Unsavory Characters producida por New Wave Cinemas (2001); Stone Cold Killers, la película de Eddie Durán (2002) donde hace de un policía corrupto y que fue un éxito de taquilla.
He is a multi-talented actor. After earning All-American honors and a berth on the 1980 USA Olympic Gymnastics team, Frank set his sights on an acting career. Frank was accepted into the prestigious Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute in NYC where he would study with some of the finest acting and directing coaches in the world. After four years of intense study Frank began the journey of his professional career. Over the next couple of years Frank appeared in over 30 plays and films, including Nelson Pena's "The Vicious Circle.", which Frank starred in, produced and assistant directing the project. "The Viscous Circle" which won best picture in the P.R.I.F.F. and was released in (1999) to critical and financial success. He has worked as either an actor, writer, producer, or director/a.d. on other feature films, including New Wave Cinemas "Unsavory Characters" (2001), and Eddie Duran's "Stone Cold Killers" (2002), where Frank made his feature film debut as a corrupt cop.
