  Opening Night
MATANDO CABOS (Noose Ends)
Circumstances force Jaque y Mudo, two employees at a large steel corporation, to kidnap their boss, the most feared man in Mexico. On the other hand, Botcha and Nico, who did have a premeditated plan to kidnap the magnate, deprive the wrong person of his liberty without realizing their mistake. These events give a rise to a back humor comedy of errors and complications, to which several more characters will be added before the unexpected end.
  Closing Night
RONDA NOCTURNA (Night Watch)
During a long night like any other, full of routine pick-ups and petty dealings, Victor, a street boy barely out of adolescence will come face to face with unexpected growing threats: strangers prowl around waiting for him, an accident is barely avoided, a friend tries to kill him after making love, and finally the madness, the supernatural power, but also the tenderness of a young woman in love from beyond the grave. Before sunrise, Victor will have learned that love, something to which his youth has been blind, can strike back, perhaps even kill him. A nightmare initiation ceremony, the hours of darkness will leave him a little less insensitive; and at least marked from an early age.
  Films in Official Competition
CAZUZA, O TEMPO NÃO PÁRA (Cazuza, Time Doesn't Stop)
The film portrays Cazuza's short and wild life from the beginning of his career, in 1981, until his death, in 1990, at the age of 32: his success with the Barão Vermelho Band, his solo career, the songs that voiced the hopes of a generation, his rebellious behavior and his courage to go on with his career, creating and performing even when debilitated by Aids. It's the path of an artist to whom time doesn't stop.

TESTAMENTO
Alfonso Bauer Paiz is a 83 year old lawyer who lives in Guatemala. For more than half a century he has been fighting for social justice. He is a man of imperturbable principles. As a convinced socialist and freemason he defends his country against intervention and dictatorships. He is persecuted, forced to exile several times which lead him to the foci of Latin American history. He puts himself completely at the service of Latin American revolution in Chile, Cuba and Nicaragua. But the price he pays for his ideals is high.
  Short Competition
Happy Cool
Happy Cool is a comedy set in a not-too-distant Argentina, where the national crisis is intersected by ideas of a utopian future. A satiric glance at the dreams and illusions that the coming of a new millennium generated. What is happening with those hopes for technological improvement?
