Synopsis
In August 1889, fleeing the pogroms and persecution of the Tsarist regime in Russia, the steamship Wesser docked in Argentina with the first group of Jewish immigrants. Their arrival in Argentina was like a second Exodus from bondage, and for the name of their first settlement they took the name of Moses. LEGACY relates the heroic narrative of these immigrants, and those that would follow them, in building a vibrant Jewish community in the Argentine heartland. Narrated in Spanish and Yiddish, the film recounts the family histories of those who were born in Argentina's Jewish heartland. Some have stayed, and some have moved on, but all agree that wherever life has brought them, they carry their hometowns with them wherever they go, honoring the memory of the struggles by which their ancestors carved out a life and a community from the Argentine countryside.

Sinopsis
En agosto 1889, huyendo de la persecución del régimen de Zarista en Rusia, el buque de vapor Wesser llega a la argentina con el primer grupo de inmigrantes judíos. Su llegada en Argentina fue como un segundo Exodo de la esclavitud, y para el nombre de su primer arreglo ellos tomaron el nombre de Moisés. El legado relaciona la narrativa heroica de estos inmigrantees, y de ésos que los seguirían, en la construcción de una comunidad judía vibrante en el corazón argentino. La película hace el recuento de las historias de las familias de los que nacieron en el corazón de esa argentina judia. Algunos han permanecido, y otros se han marchado, pero todo asienten que dondequiera que la vida los ha llevado, ellos llevan sus pueblos de origen con ellos dondequiera ellos van, honorando la memoria de las luchas por que sus antepasados tallaron una vida y una comunidad en el campo argentino.
